In order to develop learning through projects pupils from Mungia and Plentzia High Schools (together with those of Areeta and Leioa) in the academic year 2017-2018  have been taking part in a research project with the support of Butroi Bizirik Trantsizioan and the town-halls of Mungia and Plentzia.

The centre of this project is the train. In the research work issues which will be analyzed and assessed will be questions such as a social-economical analysis of different decades, how the town of Mungia has evolved economically, how a nation can be created with the help of the train, the CO2 emissions of the train, communication networks, the role of the inhabitants.etc.

The first session took place on 25th October in Torrebillela Kultur Etxea and was attended by First Year pupils of Mungia High School and those of Uribekosta High School, Alaitz Erkoreka, deputy mayor of Mungia Town-Hall; David Crestelo, mayor of Plentzia; Olga Macías Muñoz, professor of the University of the Basque Country, Mariano Román, head of MungiaHigh School and the association Butroi Bizirik Trantsizioan (BBT).
